INTERSCHOLASTIC RACING

Optional: Competitive mountain biking courses at Prescott, Flagstaff, and Phoenix.

TEAM OVERVIEW

We strive to build strong mind, body, and character through the lifelong sport of mountain biking, including:

  • Improving skills and building confidence through instruction offered by certified youth cycling coaches, with each rider pushing themselves to new achievements they never thought possible.
  • Having fun and building community by fostering new friendships and strengthening existing ones through shared adventures and challenges.
  • Promoting inclusivity and equality on a team where everyone feels welcomed and supported and “nobody rides the bench.”
  • Instilling respect for other people, oneself, and nature.

We strongly adhere to these values and strive to ensure that the lessons our student-athletes learn alongside their friends and coaches will carry on for the rest of their lives.

WHO CAN JOIN

The team is open to any student in Prescott, Arizona who will be entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade next school year and will attend:

  • Granite Mountain School (GMS)
  • Homeschooled within the Prescott Unified School District (PUSD) boundaries

All riding abilities are welcome and there are no tryouts.
